When do I mail my Virginia letters?
The answer depends on the type of letter you're writing. In late June, we rolled out the first wave of Virginia letters: "vote by mail." The second wave of Virginia letters are "please vote" letters.
You can find the mail date for the type(s) of letters you've written on the Voter List that printed with your letters.
If you did not print your Voter List, you can also find the mail date on your dashboard. If you wrote one type of letter, you can look at any voter and find the mail date in red type. If you wrote more than one type of letter, you may want to do a quick search on your dashboard for the name of one of the voters in your stack of letters. You can do this using CTRL + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac). If you're stuck and can't tell which type of letters you have, email the helpdesk at firstname.lastname@example.org, and one of our team members will assist you.
Here are the mail dates for Virginia 2021:
FIRST WAVE: We started with a “vote by mail” letter wave, and we’re stockpiling those letters until we mail on Saturday, September 18, right when absentee and early in-person voting begin.
SECOND WAVE: When the “vote by mail” letters are written, we’ll roll out a wave of “please vote” letters, and stockpile those letters until the Saturday, October1 6, mail date.
