Can kids participate?
We have a number of "future voters" participating in Vote Forward letter writing efforts, and we're glad to have their support.
Participants who are too young to vote typically use a pen to handwrite an edit to the sentence on the letter template that says: "I vote because ..." They can add a caret ^ and the word "will" to say something like, "I will vote because ..." and their message can explain that they're not yet old enough to register and highlight why they will vote in the future. Handwriting an edit to the template calls attention to their youth and can be very powerful. Other kids are helping out by addressing or decorating the envelopes, and we welcome that too.
