My PDF didn't print correctly. What should I do?
If the downloaded PDF looks correct on your screen, then the problem is happening when the PDF is being transmitted to your printer. A PDF that is garbled or missing text after printing could be due to a system font inconsistency. There are two print settings to check:
- Be sure your printer is not set to "use system fonts."
- If you have a printer setting (under Advanced) to "print as image," try that to get around the font inconsistency.
- You can also check that you use the setting "fit to page" before you select print.
Another option is to try printing the PDF from a different device or using a different PDF viewer or application. Some volunteers who saw stray characters on their letter templates when printing from a tablet printed correct PDFs from the same file when using their computer.
